Taking fish health seriously since 2023

Dr. Ben got his first Wet Pet at age 4, a goldfish kept in an unfiltered bowl, which he named after his then best friend, Henry. One morning he awoke to the news that Henry had died. He was inconsolable, believing he'd lost his best (human) friend. To avoid such future tragedies, he resolved to improve his husbandry practices. After working in several unrelated industries, Dr. Ben decided to attend veterinary school, amidst concerns about global food security. During his time in vet school at RUSVM, Dr. Ben resolved to focus on fish medicine. Having previously run his own (IT) business, he decided to found Wet Pet Vet. It is a mobile vet clinic and lab servicing exclusively fish, located in his beloved hometown of New York City. He has attended Dr. Richmond Loh's Fish Vetting Crash Course in Perth, Australia, and Cornell's AQUAVET, and has earned his Aquatic Veterinarian Certification (CertAqV) from the World Aquatic Veterinary Medicine Association. He has a keen interest in pet fish health and aquaculture. Dr. Ben is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the States of New York and New Jersey.
